On Friday 4th July 2014, the famous author Bill Bryson visited our children's hospital. We showed him around the Royal London Hospital, the Children's Hospital (see picture), the Royal London Hospital museum, St Bartholomew's Hospital, the Great Hall and the Barts museum. He was very impressed with the hospital and all its facilities. He offered to have a closer affiliation with us as a unit in all our philanthropic and charitable activities. It was a great day, culminating in a wonderful talk on 'Bear Attacks and the Perfect Doctor' given by Bill at our annual Royal London Hospital Orthopaedic and Trauma Society (RLHOTS) meeting.
