Eva Ponten, Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital, Karolinska Institute and Hospital, Sweden, with an interest in the upper limb and cerebral palsy, visited our new state-of-the-art Barts and The London Children's Hospital at the Royal London site on Wednesday 15th January 2014. She spent the day sitting in on neuromuscular, DDH and talipes clinics and visiting all our facilities. She was particularly impressed with our informatics drive to be completely paperless in clinics and theatres.

She kindly said, "Thank you so much for a very rewarding visit! You have done some really good and innovative new ways of documenting patient visits and documentation of surgeries. That is something that is so logical, but I haven't till now heard about it being set into action anywhere else. A true inspiration for our new Karolinska Hospital!'

Here she is visiting our children's orthopaedic ward's outdoor garden and relaxation area for children with Kyle James and Manoj Ramachandran.
